Description: This is an authentic plexiglass windshield part for the Bell Aircraft P-39 Airacobra and the Kingcobra. The Bell P-39 was a fighter made by Bell Aircraft in Niagara Falls NY for the United States Army Force during World War II. It was one of the principal American fighters in service when the United States entered combat. The P-39 was used by the Soviet Airforce and enabled individual Soviet pilots to collect the highest number of kills attributed to any U.S. fighter type flown by any air force. The part numbers are 26-361-009-1 & part number 26-361-018-1. This part was in the War Departments spare parts inventory left over from WWII. Attached to the part is a War Department Part Tag dated Oct 9 1943 from theAAF Specialized Depot in Buffalo NY. The photo shows the location of the parts on the P-39 fighter.
