Description: This Beautiful rare 19th Cent Portuguese silk cut velvet on linen have “star like” motifs on linen, have a scroll, leaf like border on three sides. There is gold metallic thread within each of the star motifs. There is a lovely metallic trim in three sides. There is also orange and metallic fringe on one side. See photos for reference. Measurement: 37 inches in Length by 38 inches in Width Condition: This is an early rare textile! Areas in the black velvet have been worn away - which makes the composition more interesting.
