Description: Beautiful 13 Stars 1817 Liberty Head Coronet Head Design Large Cent Nice Very Fine or Better For Your American Coin Collection-LC066 Details Description: A nice very fine or much better copper 1817 Liberty Head with a Coronet Head design large cent or penny. This coin is of the 13 star variety. The coin itself is better than the scan shows and has much of its details evident. The details of the coins are very distinct and show nice even and honest wear commensurate with its circulated state. The obverse shows wear to the highest points. The coin still shows the word LIBERTY on liberty’s crown, and still shows some details of the hair especially at the ends. The word one cent in the center of the reverse and the words United States of America are very distinct with wear to the highest points. The wreath does show some loss to the details but still retains enough recognizable detail. The coin has a very nice dark brown color and good eye appeal. The coin is problem free and in original condition displaying a handsome brown colored patina. These coins were designed by Robert Scott. Early US coins such as this are gradually getting difficult to find. Please carefully review scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description. Date: 1817. Mint: Philadelphia. Size and weight: The coin weighs ~10.5 grams of a copper and is ~28.3 mm in diameter. The coin has a toothed border and the plain edge design References: "2015 US Coin R. S. Condition: I would grade the coin as a good very fine or much better with its details being well preserved and having wear commensurate with its age and circulated state.
