Item description:Beautiful, elegant thermal teapot in white glazed porcelain with third fire cooking, covered with a metal shell with hook closure, signed under the base of the teapot with the Bauscher Weiden brand, place of production "Bavaria, Germany", and under the metal shell with engraved "DRP".Information on artist and/or manufacturer:In 1881 the brothers August and Conrad Bauscher started producing tableware in Weiden with 70 employees. From the very beginning they have specialized in robust, functional and durable products for the hotel and restaurant industry. From 1887, all ships of the North German Lloyd were equipped with Bauscher porcelain. The manufactory opened its first branch in New York in 1895, and two more in London and Lucerne in 1900 (today Bauscher Weiden exports half of its total production to over 120 countries). More than 1,200 employees now produce for illustrious customers such as “Auerbachs Keller” in Leipzig and “Waldorf Astoria” in New York.
