Description: Iconic Vintage Silver Ring dating from the Art Deco period following strong Bauhaus design principles consisting of simple stripped down geometric shapes in the form of an abstract face. This ring dates from circa 1920 - 30 and was made in Germany, the style and construction clearly dates it to this timeframe and similar examples can be found in the book Schmuck in Deutschland by Christianne Weber. The ring was made with 835 silver the grade of silver used in Germany in the early 20th century. A fantastic collector's ring with a strong design statement for the aficionada of Modernist and Bauhaus design of the early 20th century. The Bauhaus school of course was closed down during the 2nd world war period by the National Socialist German Workers Party for propagating degenerate art.
