Description: Title: Bath-House Poetry and Other Tomfoolery: A new repository of modern humor in verse from many places Author: West, J. Edward, ed Publisher: Carey & Seay Date: 1904 Edition: First Edition SKU: 430316 Condition: Used: Acceptable Description: Paperback book, neither ex-library nor marked as a remainder. Binding is strong and all leaves are intact. Text block is free of markings and dog-ears. Exceedingly rare, there being only a few holdings in libraries and nothing about this online except for a notice of publication in the 1904 issue of The Bookseller, Newsdealer and Stationer. Cover has extensive chipping and wear. Leaves have age-toning and wear, especially at corners; pages 1 through 4 have cracking at the gutter, and last few pages have borne a century's scars of the cheap stapled binding. The leaves are fragile but not crumbling. The book was probably not made to last, and so few have. The poetry may have been frowned upon by proper folk back in the day; now, it is mainly soporific. Still, this is quite the scarce volume. Click here to check out other great books in our eBay Store!
