First edition, 8vo (9.5 x 6.5 inches), pp. xxii, 23-(24), 43-627, (1), I-III, i-iii, (2) adv, 5 steel engraved plates, 3 color plates, 8 lithograph plates including 3 folding maps. Does not include "Map of Medieval Jerusalem" called for at p. 407. (Does not appear to have ever been included. This work seems to have many variations in plates and maps actually present; most copies do not conform to the standard given in the illustrations list either by inclusion or location in the text). Original gilt pictorial blind decorated brown cloth. Near fine copy with some natural aging but without much wear, even the corners are only slightly bumped. Very slight bit of foxing to the frontispiece but the sheets and plates are quite clean. Christmas 1894 small name plate affixed to the title page upper corner. H10877All Items Are Sent Insured.
