Description: I’m the original owner of this Bang & Olufsen Beovision 4 50” Plasma TV. I purchased it at their old Oak Street location back in 2003 and I still have the original receipt which shows the total price I paid as $14,353. Yep, they were very expensive. The reason I say it’s “Essentially Brand New” is because although it was mounted in 2003, it’s never actually been used. As hard as that may be to believe, it’s true, and here’s the story: B&O delivered the TV to my Chicago penthouse condo in July 2003. I had high-end audio/video store Audio Consultants at my condo to install lots of a/v equipment I’d purchased from them, and they had said they’d install my B&O TV in my greatroom as well. Long story short, they didn’t have time to fully install the TV on the day they were there, as they were late for their next appointment. In the coming days, I came to realize that I probably wouldn’t like watching TV in my greatroom, as it just wasn’t cozy and was way too bright. So I decided to watch my other TV that was in my bedroom, which was a much cozier place to watch TV. I never had the installers come back to complete the installation. The B&O Beovision 4 just sat on the wall of my condo for 18 years, until I moved in 2021. It was carefully moved and is stored in my climate controlled storage unit. If you have a way of testing to see how many hours a TV has been in use, you’re welcome to test mine and you’ll see it was used zero total hours. I even kept the TV unplugged the whole time it was up on the wall. FYI, this was the first iteration of the Beovision 4, before the design changed slightly.
