Bound in red cloth with dark gray top stain (binding #8), the dust jacket (style "h") is not price clipped and contains some imperfections, most notably, some separation along the folds, a blemish to bottom front cover, and some soiling on back cover. (Please See All Photos.) Note that while the spine has had some fading, the color on the spine is a different original color (light gray) than the blue of the front cover. The dust jacket lists 299 titles inside, dating it to 1944. There is no handwriting in the book, other than previous owner's signature on front board. Binding is solid. This is a very collectible copy of this longstanding ML title in an alternative DJ color -- the bright blue cover was used only from 1938-1945, after which it was replaced by the more commonly available brown cover until 1970.
