Description: Quite scarce Baker Furniture Historic Charleston 4-Door Buffet; Mahogany Veneers & Inlay. Beautifully designed, beautifully proportioned and beautifully made Georgian style buffet. Made in the USA by Baker, this piece is no only striking to look at, but is practical as well. Two center doors open to reveal a wide drawer with an unused (and removable) flatware insert. There is a single, wide adjustable shelf below. The two outside flanking doors reveal open storage, each side with a single adjustable shelf. The piece is a breakfront design, with the two center doors projecting slightly. The top is mahogany, with a banded edge on all four sides. The doors have banded edges as well, with satinwood stringing edging the center panels. Adjustable recessed taps on the underside, hard taps mounted on the underside of the skirting board. Retails in the $15,000 to $16,000 range. In exceptional condition. The front and sides are mint. The top has some light wear showing very minimal use. The color is even throughout with no fading. From a smoke free and pet free estate. Measurements: 72" wide. It is 17.25" deep at either end, and 19" deep at the center. The center projection is 39.5" wide. The piece stands 34" high.
