Description: Up for sale is this incredible copper box.I think it is for cigarettes.It features Bacchus with leaping gazelles in the background.This unique piece dates back to the Art Deco period.It was produced briefly in 1935 -1936.This was designed by Rockwell Kent for the Chase Brass & Copper Company of Waterbury , Connecticut.The box is made of a thick gauge copper with a wood lined interior.The box measures approx. 5 1/4" x 6 1/2" x 1 5/8" tall. Generally in very good condition.There is some spotting to the finish on the front.See photos for more details.Fresh from a local estate.
