Description: Aynsley Pink Floral Tea Set. Choose 1 or More Bread/Tea Plates, Serving Plate and/or Cup & Saucers. Date: c.1905-25. VERY RARE About this Tea Service On offer is a very, very rare Aynsley tea service being sold as individual pieces. From the backstamp it appears this pattern was created between 1905 and 1925. After 1925 this pattern was co-opted by the very famous company Mappin & Webb and sold through there auspices. I believe the pattern to be hand painted. The pattern consists of a plain pink band and a floral band with gold rims and trim. The set has scalloped edging and the cup is footed. While the tea/bread plates are round, the serving plate is square. UPDATE OCTOBER 2022: I have now sold most of these pieces. Remaining is one cup & saucer set in excellent vintage condition; three bread plates in excellent vintage condition; and two cup & saucer sets in "2nds" condition - which in this case means that each set has a small chip on each of the saucers and one hairline crack on the outer side of each of the two cups (SEE PICTURES) - which do no show on the inside of the cups - thus the cups can be used.Size Saucers- 5 1/2 inchesCups- 3 5/8 inches (diameter) & 2 inches (height)Bread Plates- 6 3/4 inches Condition Key NEW WITH TAGS (NWT) = unused. Tag is still attached to the item. May have original packaging NEW = unused, but no tag. May include some original packaging. Can include new items that have been in storage but have never been used.
