Description: Presented is a fine antique set of 12 Austro-Hungarian silver place spoons, dessert spoons, or oval soup spoons. The spoons are done in a variant on the classic King pattern on both sides of the handle. The handles are hollow-style handles and possibly have some kind of filler in them. Therefore all the weight may not be silver. The spoons are stamped on the back of the bowls with the 13 loth mark for Austro-Hungarian 812 purity silver, 1846 for the date, the letter A for the city of Vienna, and a maker’s mark. The condition is excellent. The spoons have some surface wear commensurate with age and light use, and a few dings here and there, but this is minor. There are no major dents, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs. The spoons are 7 1/4 inches long. The total weight is 434 grams. Some of this weight may be filler.
