Description: Atlas/Craftsman 10" & 12" metal lathe leadscrew bearing bracket. This item is quality designed and 3D printed to be stronger than the original thin metal part, yet still gives before damaging other parts of the lathe in a crash. This part is often damaged because it is meant to break before damage happens to more expensive parts on the lathe during a crash of the machine. The part material is strong enough to last for years without any issues, yet will protect more expensive parts of the machine when needed. This is a great part to always keep a spare at this price!!! The part is 3D printed in quality plastic to tight tolerances and fits well. Item comes in either black, or grey/silver material color. There is an oil hole to lubricate the screw during use. The part has pressed in oilite bronze bearings for less wear and smoother operation. This part has been designed and tested on an actual Craftsman 12" metal lathe with 3/4" leadscrew. There were several prototypes required to get the dimensions just right!!!!! Check out my other Atlas/Craftsman lathe items for gears and other replacement parts needed to keep these iconic machines running for many years. This is a hobby for me and so I don't charge a lot for the parts.
