Description: Athol 624 CUTAWAY EXHIBITION VISE SALESMANS DISPLAY super rare possibly unique. Appears to have been chrome plated with machined cutaways. Interior of cutaways are painted red to accent and out vise is a type of olive drab. Orig paint is allegated throughout. It must have taken the factory machinist some time to do this. Has wear but nothing bad. Chrome also has wear but would clean up better. Only one I've ever seen. May be the only one. Old label on labelmakerr tag was on it when I got it so left it on, but sure the vise was predates the tag. I spent weeks researching for another cutaway vise, but could only find an early illustration of a Reed cutaway but that vise might not have actually existed. Feel free to ask any questions or provide any answers. I've been into tools for 45+ years and have had cutaways of other things but this is a first for vises for me. Feel free to ask any questions.
