Sheps Center for Health Services Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; she has conducted numerous research projects directly studying nearly ten thousand residents of long-term care settings and has published widely. Philip D. Sloane, M.D., M.P.H., a geriatrician with broad clinical background in long-term care, is Elizabeth and Oscar Goodwin Distinguished Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and co-author of the text Dementia Units in Long-Term Care. J.
