Description: Up for sale is: An open box but otherwise excellent and like new condition Asmus Toys LotR The Hobbit 1/6 scale Thorin II aka Thorin Oakenshield action figure HOBT026 featuring an excellent likeness of Richard Armitage as the King of Durin's Folk in The Hobbit trilogy. The figure along with some accessories were displayed in a glass case for approximately two months after they were received direct from Asmus Toys in early 2019 but were soon re-boxed and have been stored with care in a air-conditioned room until July 2024, when the pics shown in this listing were taken. The headsculpt and portrait of Thorin has sculpted facial hair but long and dense rooted hair on the top of its head, including screen accurate braids and streaks of blond and grey. It all looks a little unruly in the photos because it was never "fussed" for long-term display and no hair product (or even water) was ever applied to the figure in order to keep it in pristine condition. The figure is approximately 10 1/4" (26 cm) tall with over 32 points of articulation. Thorin comes with three pairs of swappable hands (relaxed posture, weapon gripping, and clenched fists), all of which have sculpted-on rings and fingerless gloves. Clothing includes: a long sleeved undershirt, long pants with a stitched pattern, a short sleeved tunic featuring flexible scale-mail patterned armor in places, a blue sleeveless long vest / tunic. Over these layers, Thorin wears a sturdy and ornate waist belt with an attached scabbard for his Dwarven war sword. Going over all these is a long fur-lined sleeveless coat. Finally, Thorin has removable gauntlets and fur wrapped two-piece boots for improved ankle articulation. Weapons and Accessories: Thorin comes with both a broad Dwarven war sword (made from plastic) and the more elegant and slender blade Orcrist, which is die-cast metal and features ornate Elven script. Orcrist comes with its own (likewise decorative) scabbard and belt which fits over the figure's shoulder and across its back and chest. Rounding out Thorin's weapons is his signature sculpted "oaken shield" which straps to his arm. Rounding out Thorin's accessories are his distinctive Dwarven Pipe and the Key to the Hidden Door of Erebor. Thorin also includes a standard Asmus / The Hobbit figure stand (shortened to be appropriate for Dwarven figures) and base. The box also contains printed instructions. All packaging is original save for a couple pieces of tape we added to secure the pipe and key into their places within the plastic tray to prevent them from coming loose and getting lost.
