Description: I happened upon this lovely dinner plate in my adventures. It is by Wood & Sons England and is labeled as an Ascot Service Plate Alpine White Ironstone. It has a little weight to it. No chips or cracks. The center features a picture of a country cottage with a thatched roof. The edge of the plate has lovely roses and an interior hunter green with gold edge border. Around the edge it is decorated with gold and as per the pictures there is a spot where a bit of the gold has worn off with age. Other than that though the decorations are really nice and there are no significant areas of color loss or scratching. It is in very nice condition and would be a great plate to use for decorating. I love the greens and golds and they would look great all year around with some gold votives or under a bowl of red christmas balls or with a few small gourds or pumpkins nearby. Happy Shopping.
