His shoes have come unglued from the base so they can turn. Because the shoes have come loose, you can remove the lower legs from the base (and they can detach from the knees). It does not appear that glue was ever used to insert the lower legs into the base or knee area. They just have a snug fit. I also do not know if this particular nutcracker had any accessories.I will probably remove the lower legs for shipment.
