Description: Wartime original.Dated 1971.It is stamped A5, where A means Ao = jacket, and 5 is tMedium to Large sizes.This jacket was tailored, short-sleeved, and modified to be slimmer with a fuller girth. The reinforcements on the sides have been removed and the breast pocket has been made smaller than the original size and reattached.It is not for children, but a modification for the small Vietnamese soldiers of the time. 15“ from pit to pit, 22” length.It has been used and has small holes, stains, and previous pocket seam marks. Colors remain strong. I found this jacket in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City about 20 years ago. As a militaria dealer, I visited various parts of Vietnam four times a year from the late 1990s to 2010 to make purchases.
