Description: Arts Crafts Reverse Painted Antique Vintage Lamp Handel Bradley Hubbard Era ITEM DESCRIPTION: There is no 25-30% buyers premium on top of this sale as you would have to pay at an auction these days. That's huge overall savings folks. Thanks for looking and please check out my other ebay lighting auctions as well. I have for sale this very nice reverse painted lighthouse form lamp. This is a full sized lamp measuring in at 22.5 inches tall and the shade 18 inches wide. This is also not a common lamp in that most of these designs are slag glass only and not reverse painted. This particular lamp, with fabulous coloration throughout as you can see, is very seldom seen. So bear that in mind when bidding please. I collect all makes and models of period lighting, and my favorite is reverse painted lamps. They have so much human interaction and touch whereas leaded, slag glass panel, overlays, etc etc are nice of course, but not like a reverse painted, with its artistic feel throughout and care in the making. Those other type of lamps cant have the coloration of nature in general with the trees, skies, water, or landscape scenery, and they never will. That said, this lamp is in excellent overall condition. Both base and shade without glass loss, breakage or cracks, and paint quality very good and without paint losses there as well. The lamp is period 1905-1925 and not a reproduction. The paint throughout very vibrant in color. The coloration scheme extremely attractive as you can tell. The base recently rewired with period style cloth cord and old style plug. The lamp in fine working order. Maker unknown but possibly MIller or Pittsburgh. A very warm look and perfect for an arts and crafts style room or home. Thanks for looking and please check out my other ebay lighting listings as well. Due to the high costs of shipping we are going to post a shipping cost for the Eastern time zone that applies to only the Eastern time zone. From there our rates will increase from the base price posted for the Eastern Time Zone as follows: Central Time Zone Add: 15% Mountain Time Zone Add: 25% Pacific Time Zone Add: 35% Please know that my shipping costs are typically cheaper than other ebay sellers and we pack better than 98% of them because we ship out a hundred lamps a year or more compared to just a few for the others. I have a very large inventory and only select items make it on to our ebay listings. If the winning bidder is from the Northeast I would like to try and get this delivered by one of my employees if possible. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. If you live in the following radius or just outside it, we should communicate about not using a major carrier, so it has a better chance of survival and minimizing damage or a damage claim as well. Horseheads ny to Detroit mi, Detroit mi to Chicago il, Chicago il to Indianapolis In to Cincinnati oh, Cincinnati oh to Pittsburgh pa, Pittsburgh to Washington dc, Washington dc to manhattan ny, manhattan ny to boston ma, boston ma to Albany ny, Albany ny to buffalo ny. If this option is something you would like to discuss, email me, and if there is a shipping amount posted on the listing, we would honor that dollar amount and not go over it so it doesn’t cost you any further money. TO ALL POTENTIAL BUYERS Bidders please remember that I am selling antiques and that there should be a degree of expectation on your part in knowing that there will be normal aging and minor imperfections towards an item that is 75 to 100 years old. Chances are if there aren't any, it's a newer item and you shouldn't want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I really don't want to do a refund because the finial ( typically a 10.00 piece ) isn't perfect on a 2,000.00 lamp. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. It seems the more experienced an antique dealer or buyer is, the more understanding of condition they are. That being said, if you think you're going to be a difficult buyer because you want perfection in a 100 year old piece, please purchase another ebay seller's product. ebay has made it very difficult for sellers in the past few years yet I'm a good seller who wants to be fair and all I ask for is a fair buyer to do business with. Thanks for your understanding.
