Description: Three volume set of Schopenhauer, matched set of the 8th edition published in London. Blue woven boards with gilt spines. Volume one contains a translators preface, preface to the first edition, and preface to the second edition. All three books have handsome owners calligraphy on the inside cover. There may be an occasional very minor light pencil notation on about one percent of the pages. Books are all in good condition with nice spines and clean boards. These books are slightly dry and the pages are somewhat stiff. Front hinges are excellent, the back hinge on volume three is just starting at the very lower edge. Minor foxing only. Nice set of books in very well preserved condition. There is a small antique Christmas card tucked into the back of one of the books with an inscription in German. These books are undated, unknown date of printing. My guess would be early 1900s. Difficult to find a matched set all in nice condition like these. Please let me know if you have any questions.
