The whole thing is dimensional.This piece is concave, NOT FLAT, with the middle 8.5 inches sunken down about 1/2 inch lower than the outer edges.It will sit flat on a table, but the edges stand about an inch tall off the surface of the tableI categorized it as a tile because that was the best I could come up with, but it is not ceramic but GLASS.
