Description: Art Deco Borzoi Dog Silverplate Black Glass Dresser Box 1930s Weidlich Bros. Good used/vintage condition. The glass has no cracks or repairs--there is a small flea bite to the bottom edge and some minor scratches from age/use. The lid has heavy wear spots to the silverplating. There are scratches throughout--the heaviest are on the lid between the dog and the crest. Tarnishing throughout the lid. Please see photos to assess condition. For being almost 100 years old, this is still very stunning and will display beautifully. This was originally intended for lipsticks and a compact, but can be used for anything, including spare change, matches/lighter, jewelry, etc. The lid features a Borzoi standing proud on the center of the lid. The back base of the dog is marked "Copyright USA". Above the dog is an ornate crest. The interior of the lid has the WB mark above 684. WB silverplate pieces are usually paired with HB Heisey glass items/bases but there are no markings on the this glass piece. This measures roughly: 4.25" tall x 6.5" square This item will only be shipped within the US via USPS-as a calculated rate(based on size/weight and how far it has to travel).
