Description: One side of this statue displays a medallion attached to the base, of the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan. It displays the spire and 12 slabs which surround the eternal flame, and the city of Yerevan in the background. The opposite side is more dificult to interpret. Perhaps you can see a cross with the Eucharist in the center, or a sun beaming its rays. I'm not certain of that symbolism. The statue itself is approximately 6 and 3/4 inches high, 5 inches across at its widest, and roughly 1 inch thick. The base is approximately 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 1 inch thick. The front of the base states "Specially designed for Artemide Inc." Perhaps this is the Italian light fixture company? Maybe they helped fund the creation of the memorial and this was a sponsor gift? Once again, just speculating. It's heavy, in total the weight is approximately 2 pounds and 13 ounces. The sticker on the bottom states it was made by a company called HP in West Germany. I don't think it was the well known HP of today. The memorial was built in 1967, so the age of this item must date between 1967 and the reunification of Germany around 1989.
