In 1900 moved to Cd. In Mexico, where he got inscribed in 1901 at the Academy of San Carlos. Pupil of Antonio Fabres and Germán Gedovius, he completed his studies in 1911. During this time, he met the prestigious landscape painter José María Velasco. In 1911, President Francisco León de la Barra gave him the grant to travel to Europe for its artistic merits. Starting in Barcelona and making their studies in Madrid, in 1912, he was admitted to the Spanish National Exposure in the Buen Retiro in Madrid, where he presented 16 landscapes. He also traveled to Paris and studied at the Louvre. In 1914 back to Mexico won the opposition as a teacher of anatomical drawing at the National Preparatory School and the Academy of San Carlos.
