Description: Selling the Complete Works of Aristotle in Latin and Greek (ancient Greek),This is a 5 book (very hard to find) complete edition dating back for the French Revolutionary war. Some books show ANNO VIII which would put the printing date at 1796 or 1797. My original impression was that these were printed in Paris but further research suggests Strasbourg. Published by Biponti : Typographia Societatis,Edited by Theophilus Buhle Prof. Philos. In Acad. Georg. Augusta Soc. Reg. Scient. Gotting. Sod. E. O. As you can see from the pics, the books show a lot of wear. Volume 1 has a detached front cover. The rest are attached. All show wear on the spine and some age marks (brown spots) on the pages, The pages are "rough" or untrimmed if you will, as in they vary in size and shape. Very difficult to establish value for this as it is very rare. I have seen partial sets online for up to $4000.
