Description: This book is the Missouri Archaeological Society Research Series, Number 13, 1976. It includes one article: "Fay Tolton and the Initial Middle Missouri Variant," edited by W. Raymond Wood. The Fay Tolton site is in Stanley County, South Dakota, about 2 miles down stream from the confluence of the Cheyenne and Missouri Rivers. This site is among several which were used by the first farmers in the Northern Plains about 900 years ago. The report includes a map and description of sites and a drawing of a house plan which was excavated. There are several pages of photo illustrations of artifacts, including axe heads, projectile points, bone tools, and pottery. Softcover, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, 58 pages, good condition. Any shadow on the scans was created by my scanner and my reluctance to mash the book flat and possibly damage the spine. Buyer to pay $4.25 P&H please (Sorry, I had to raise shipping after latest postage increase). I'm listing other archaeology books and will combine shipping if a bidder buys more than one item. If you want combined shipping please use Ebay's cart feature and request a total price before paying. Wait to pay until I send you a combined invoice. Sorry, but I will not mail this book outside the U.S. due to excessive postage rates. Please email me if you have any questions. Please make sure your email ID is correct on ebay, and that you don't have a spam filter set which will prevent you from receiving my email payment requests.
