The distinctive olive-green design of decoration of Arabia Finland's KOSMOS pattern was created by Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist and its design of form was created by Ulla Procopé. The KOSMOS pattern was launched in 1962 and manufacturing ended in 1969. Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist (1928 - 2005) was one of Finland's leading ceramic artists in the 20th century. She was part of the Nordic tradition aiming for warm-hearted and joyous design. After her studies at the Institute of Industrial Art in Helsinki, she worked for the Arabia factory for more than 40 years. Her artistry is represented at numerous museums in Scandinavia. Each piece in this two-piece set is quality-made all the way and absolutely has no cracks, chips, or crazing and was obviously cherished and well cared-for and shows very little wear. This dinnerware does have some minor imperfections, such as tiny bubbles, dents or darker dots on the glazing and may show some small signs of wear and scratches.
