In contrast to cat litter, chalk, clay, or floor dry, it has superior absorptive abilities. AQUAPLAS® Stain Absorber is a siliceous Kieselguhr mined in Nevada. Safe to use. DOT3 brake fluid is glycol ether which is water-soluble and absorbs moisture from the air so manufacturers add corrosion inhibitors. AQUAPLAS® stain absorber has no additives, and its non-acidic formula will not etch or discolor AQUAPLAS® nor damage speaker cones. It safely removes surface and deep-set stains without affecting the sensitive cone coating. AQUAPLAS® Stain Absorber is a topical remover that uses the stain reversal process to extract the glycol from the AQUAPLAS® Speaker Coating. Directions: The standard advice for removing stains is to follow the three Ps of promptness, patience, and perseverance. · Perform stain removal as soon as possible after spots appear. · Assure dust cap is in tack. Position the speaker with the cone facing up. · Spread a thin layer of stain absorber on top of stains. · Gently rub absorber into stain. Apply an additional heavy layer. · Let sit several hours or overnight for maximum absorption. · Dab up absorber with a slightly damp paper towel (minimize wiping). · Allow any dampness to fully dry before using speaker. Most stains will be gone with one application; however, deep, older, or persistent stains, may require repeated or prolonged applications. Some stains may be too old to be eliminated completely.
