Description: For your consideration at this auction is a vintage Apple Macintosh PowerBook Duo 280c system, with PowerPC 603e upgraded processor at 100Mhz. It works great. When the system is plugged in and turned on, it starts up. Mac OS 9.1 was just installed on the internal spacious 1GB (1 gigabyte) hard drive. Palm-rest, keyboard, and trackball mechanism are complete. 8.4" color thin-film-transistor (TFT) display shows full to moderate brightness for its age of 24 years. 28MB of RAM (total) installed, with a 1GB hard drive and an internal fax/data modem. The 20MB Memory module is installed in addition to the 8MB of RAM that ships standard with a PowerBook Duo 2300c logic board upgrade. Ships with an Apple power adapter, PowerBook Duo Battery (included, but charge capabilities are not assured nor guaranteed - it will be shipped separately inside the same package with the contacts sealed). When I tested this Duo 280c upgraded laptop, the battery was not inserted so that the machine would operate on its own. Does not include any other accessories, software disks, or manuals.
