Description: This auction is for a fully certified Apollo 15 flown flag of the country Cyprus. It is sized 4x6 and has been authenticated on the bottom portion by Al Worden, the astronaut who carried the flag to the moon. He signed and certified the flag with black ballpoint ink. Flawless inscription and signature. Accompanied by a hand signed letter from Col Worden attesting to its authenticity. I believe this is most likely the only flag of Cyprus carried on this mission. A quick internet search indicated no other flags of Cyprus having been flown to the moon and offered for recent sale from any lunar mission. There was one other I found, carried on Apollo 17 and given by the space agency to the country itself along with a portion of moon rock. Free usps priority shipping in the USA.
