Description: Fantastic new Error of the USPS Eagle design on the Flag ATM stamp (Scott #CVP91b) This lot is for a full sheet of 10 stamps (catalog #CVP91b) with the USPS Eagle overprint Error. While similar type of error overprints (with the USPS Eagle) have been offered in the past, the KEY DIFFERENCE is that this overprint error was done by one of the new SSK (APC) ATM machines that starting being put into operation from August to October 2018. These machines were supposed to be using a new flag design label and yet was set-up to use the plain white unprinted labels. Since this machine is of a new redesign (see photo - the new machines are gray, the old ones were blue), it was apparently not set up correctly and thus was printing the USPS Eagle design (which is supposed to be used for printing on plain labels, not the pre-printed flag labels)! How can you tell that this sheet was printed on one of the new machines? Simple - on the new machines, the human readable serial number now begins with a number, rather than a letter (which was usually A through G, followed by numbers) on the old machines. So, the combination of the old flag design, printed from a new APC/SSK machine AND with the Eagle overprint ERROR is offered for the first time by anyone (that I know of)! This particular error was available starting late August from machines in the Dallas, Texas area; they have since "fixed" the machines and they are now printing just the regular version of the flag stamps! In fact, the flag stamps of CVP91 & CVP91b designs are NO LONGER available at the machines and have been replaced with another flag stamp of a different design (ie: CVP108). I have several sheets, the scan shown is representative of what you will receive. --> Please note that the regular (not error) versions of these stamps from the new machines were briefly listed as CVP102; that was corrected to CVP91b in the 2020 Scott USA Specialized Stamp catalog. Scott's generally does not list the errors for the various CVP stamps... Due to value and eBay guidelines, shipping is only via tracked & insured "Ground Advantage" or "Priority Mail". Note: If you choose Priority Mail, then I will use an error stamp as part of the postage on the envelope as a bonus!
