Description: Anton Karas – The World Of Anton Karas & "Harry Lime" (World Folk Soundtrack LP) (1971) Very good UK 1st release. Featuring music from the 1949 Orson Welles/Joseph Cotton film "The Third Man" and other zither pieces played by Anton Karas. Condition (refer also to notes at bottom): VINYL: VG. Both sides look clean. No obvious signs of major wear. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is very good throughout. No skipping, jumping or sticking. Some minor surface noise and static in places but this is due in part to the inherent quality of the original recordings on this pressing. OUTER SLEEVE/COVER – VG. Colours remain unfaded and bright. Laminated front cover. Minor corner nicks but no edge wear. Some vein-like creasing from edges and in a few areas on front. However, cover remains intact. Disc showthrough is evident. Top curve of disc outline on front has torn, leaving a thin white area. Top right corner is slightly bent/folded. Cover is entirely intact. Reverse is clean. Dark area in top left corner where sticker once was. INNER SLEEVE – EX. May be original. White poly-lined paper with centre hole. Printed blue text on both sides. Minor folding and creasing. This album has never had a CD release. Track listing: A1. The Harry Lime Theme. A2. Visions Of Vienna. A3. Danube Dreams. A4. The Café Mozart Waltz. A5. Anton Karas Second Theme. A6. Wien, Weib, Weib. B1. Lili Marlene. B2. Drink Brothers Drink. B3. In Grinzing. B4. Im Prater Bluh'nn Wieder Die Baume. B5. Zither Man. B6. ITEM CONDITION - items are graded according to Record Collector definitions - see below: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced. POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
