The spaniels are beautifully crafted with a russet and blue (can also appear light black or gray) color palette. Measuring at approximately 8 inches tall, these hand-painted figurines are perfect for displaying on any shelf or mantelpiece. These decorative pieces should please any dog lover and are sure to be a conversation starter. While they're definitely at least vintage in age, they show signs of being true antiques (1924 or older). Based on research, they have the following characteristics of antique Staffordshire: crazing, the gold rubbed off in places, small holes on the bottom, no markings, not completely identical in appearance, side seams, some painting on the back, blue and black "freckles" on the back, somewhat heavy in weight, etc. True antique Staffordshire dogs, particularly still in pairs, are much harder to find and thus are more valuable. *Thank you for viewing our listing.
