Antique Wood Shaft US Golf Flat Face Flanged Putter

Description: This item is an antique vintage right-handed 34 1/2" wood shaft putter. It is an early lined face blade. It has a wide flanged sole. Made by U S Golf and is there Reliance Model. Also marked Flat Face Putter-thought that was a given. You don't see these very often. The head is in good vintage condition. The head is clean, not all rusted but does have some discoloration. It has the expected play nicks and dings. Please look at the many zoom pictures for a better idea of condition. The shaft is an old apparently original hickory. The shaft is straight, I see no cracks and it is tight at the hosel. Always re-set hickory clubs prior to play. The grip is an old long leather wrap that is in good vintage condition. Unusual name on this one. If you are considering playing with this club all wooden shafted irons should be re-set prior to play. While I see no issues with the shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These wooden shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee wooden shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old wooden shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old wooden shafted wood with a hard range ball. Shipping in the US is calculated and based on a 3-pound box.
