Description: Item description: Up for sale is WATERMA'S 92V model fountain pen. This pen was made in USA dates back to the 30's. The pen is very well preserved. It can fit as a valuable addition into any collection, and is a quality pen that will perfectly function, as a daily writer. The pen is slightly / gently used, in full perfect working and writing order. Fully inspected, cleaned, tested and ready for use. In the 1930's Waterman introduced the 92 line in a very wide range of celluloid colors. The 92V, the shorter, lady size version, was initially manufactured in black and pearl, jet black, green pearl, claret and steel quartz. Waterman 92V fountain pen from the circa 1930s. Lever filler in red dark wine marble with flecks. Waterman's Ideal fine gold nib is flexible. Great vintage condition fully restored and working well. Model 92V (the small size ladies version of the 92). Semi flex gold Waterman's Ideal nib with a heart-shaped cutout. The tip looks like an extra fine, but it writes more like a fine. It's smooth with lovely tipping. Nice flex, a little less than what we would call full flex with easy line variation from a thin fine to a nice large broad with just a tiny bit of pressure. The[u1] most beautiful in this pen are the green and red marble, pearly, flakes, quartz vivid outstanding colors. The pink-red-purple pattern is clean, glossy, rich bright and eye-catching - no fading or discolorations, color is even and vibrant. One issue is a crystalized 1cm on the cap, nothing of course to effect smooth writing. The barrel markings are easy to read. The barrel and cap were not polished, clear, clean, crisp imprint manufacturer original engravings. The butt end of the fountain pen has a crisp 92V imprint. The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly. The[u2] semi flex WATERMAN'S IDEAL #2 nib is a gorgeous WATERMAN original to the pen, which writes with good ink flow and very smooth, it is clean and bright, with plenty of Iridium. The nib is terrific and writes so smoothly. When writing the nib writes with a XF-F line measuring roughly with some pressure on the horizontal line strokes and flexes up to a broad stroke. This pen benefits from being fully serviced and ultrasonically cleaned. It was disassembled, fully inspected, cleaned and new ink sac was fitted, tested and ready for use with your favorite ink, and many more years of enjoyable use. The only issues here are: crystalized 1cm on the cap, plating wear on clip, but that is to be expected from a pen approaching its 100th birthday, nothing of course to effect smooth writing. I have shown this issue in extreme close up but it is barely noticeable in the hand. See last images.) The pen has all its original parts. It has the original imprint in very good readable condition. The barrel and cap markings are easy to read. They were not polished or cleaned to keep clear crisp imprint manufacturers original engravings.
