The style is French and Dutch, and the artwork was produced during the Art Deco period (1920-1940). The item is handmade art and was created by the artist Camille Fonce, who died in 1937. About the artist: Camille Arthur Fonce born in Briare (Loiret) on June 9, 1867 and died in Paris on the 16th of July, 1937 is a French engraver. Some of his engravings are kept at the San Francisco Museum of Fine Arts. I found this etching at a yard sale. I brought it home and cleaned the frame and glass. When I was trying to find the history on this, I found that this actual etching had been sold in February of 2024 at an auction. See photos. This item is in good condition. I never could figure out who MR Thompson was. There is some slight cloudiness in the glass in areas. It is not that noticeable unless you tilt it in certain light. This item may have minor wear and discoloration due to age, which is normal.
