This fabric is not original to the chair and could be replaced.Our carpenter inspected the chair from top to bottom, and didn't need to make any repairs, nor needed to reinforce anything. All of the joints are tight, and there is no looseness at any point.The chair is clean with very few nicks and light scratches. This chair is strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service! Dimensions Seat: 16 1/2"W (front) & 12 3/4" (back) x 14 1/4"D Height (from floor to...): (Seat) 13 3/4" (Top of backrest) 33" Backrest height: 21" Blades: 28 1/4" Shipping * UPS/FedEx have a "balloon rate" once a package goes over 130" (longest side +2(width) +2(depth)). Once the size goes over, the rate jumps almost 3x. With the current dimensions, I don't think we could make it under 130" and still properly pad the chair to protect it in transit. We may have to remove the blades in order to make it. If we do, they are easy to put back on with a flathead screwdriver. Each blades has 2 screws.* If you are able to pick up in Scranton, PA let us know and we'll reduce the price by $80. That's about how much it will cost to ship to anywhere in the Eastern half of the US.
