The overall length of the tool is 11 ¾ inches without a bit and chuck jaws retracted. The drill shows appropriate wear for a tool that is dated Aug. 13, 1895. The wood is without checking or cracking. No damage noted. It does have scratching. Jaws hang up a bit. Crank is marked Goodell and Pratt Company, Greenfield Mass. U.S.A. as is the chuck. Chuck sports patent date. Tool could use some lube. Crank turns as intended.
