Description: The photos show everything. I am not sure the age, it is definitely a very old iron, I would guess from the 1940s or 1950s, but that is strictly a guess. It could possibly be earlier, maybe later, but I would guess 1940s if I had to guess. It comes exactly as you see it, in the original box with the power cord, which I believe to be original, however, I am not the original owner, so I cannot guarantee that the cord is original. It also comes with what looks like a suede leather, zippered bag to store the iron in. It may not be leather, it may likely be a different type of suede material. The zipper works fine. I plugged it in for about 2 minutes. It got very hot, and then I unplugged it and let it cool off. I believe the handle is a black BAKELITE, but I cannot guarantee that it is BAKELITE. I know that was a material they used back in the day. You can see rust spots on the bottom. It does not appear that this iron has been used, and if it was, it was used very sparingly, but it does have those rust spots that you can see (zoom in). The total weight is approximately 2.5 lb.
