Description: This antique wooden box, boasting an oval shape and sturdy handles, is a charming storage solution. Its handcrafted design and removable lid add authenticity and utility. I received this from a gentleman that had owned an antique store for nearly 50 years. He called it a Viking Sow Casket made from about 1880 to 1900. I have not been able to find anything similar in my research. It has no nails or screws holding it together. Only a couple of wooden pins and the two metal rings.
