Description: This is a Victorian era tankard. That does have an incomplete impression of the word "pint". The other mark is what's called a verification mark. It signifies that the measure was inspected by a Weights & Measures Inspector and correct. Starting in 1879 they began using a crown, the monarch’s initials (ie VR, ER or GR) and a number to indicate the county. In your case that looks like a 67, which is likely Surrey County. The VR stands for Victoria Regina or Queen Victoria. . There's no maker's mark, but this is an antique pewter tankard that dates to about 1889-1890. It's in pretty good condition for it's age with some dings and great patina. 3 inch circumference and 51/8 inch tall.
