Antique Victorian 10k Etruscan Revival Pendant Locket with 0.20ctw OMC Diamond

Description: Victorian Era 10k Yellow Gold Etruscan Revival Pendant Locket with 0.20ctw Old Mine Cushion Cut Diamond. This is a stunning pendant locket circa the late 1880s Victorian era crafted of solid 10k bloomed yellow gold featuring an Old Mine cushion cut diamond. The locket boasts beautiful machine-made details throughout including archaeological revival elements such as bold lines, arrow motifs, scrollwork, and fine milgrain scalloped detail on the surface. The sole old mine cushion cut diamond is estimated to weigh 0.20ctw and is very fiery against the high-karat bloom on the yellow gold. The diamond is set in a high-profile 6-prong belcher setting on the lower third of the locket. The locket features a large hook-style bale with the same arrow motif found on the body of the pendant. The backside of the pendant is elegantly monogramed on the locket's case, "PEM" in a classic hand-engraved script font. The locket is empty but contains a fitted piece of glass to protect your photo or keepsake of choice. This late Victorian stunner is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws to note. The diamond is secure in its setting, the hinge on the locket functions with ease, and there are little to no signs of surface wear throughout. The locket tests as 10k gold using acid and the diamond was tested using a GemOro diamond tester. The chain in the photographs is NOT included in the sale of this locket.
