Description: This is a gorgeous antique Victorian epergne. The trumpet and bowl are made form a Vaseline glass aka uranium glass. The bowl and trumpet have a fluted edge and optical texture. The bowl has a fish scale pattern and a coralene (fused glass beads) finish on the underside giving it a frosty appearance. The bowl and trumpet are mounted in a fancy electroplated nickel silver base. There is some loss to the silvering. Other than that, this antique Victorian era Vaseline glass epergne is in excellent condition. By all means, fill the trumpet with flowers, but with the bowl having a fish scale pattern and frosted appearance, I imagine this art glass epergne bowl as perhaps the most refined way possible to serve shrimp cocktail!
