This is a listing for a ANTIQUE SWISS SKELETONIZED KEYWIND AND KEYSET POCKET WATCH WITH A SILVER DIAL AND A 15 JEWEL MOVEMENT. The watch movement has been recased into a later dual crystal snap back bezels case. The watch crown is not functional and is used for better presentation purposes. The watch movement was professionally skeletonized many years ago and the time is set using the No. 3 key and is wound using the No. 6 key-both keys (newly made) are included and have been tested to function correctly with the watch movement. The watch winds and sets as it should. I recently gave the watch a 24 hour time test (dial up) and it lost only 2 minutes which is fine for a watch well over 100+ years old, but, since the watch has not been serviced recently, the time performance may not continue without a future service. Why buy an untested watch? The watch case is approx. 51.8mm in width. The watch has a beautiful silver dial with gold inserts-see the photos. My old time watchmaker told me the watch movement had a 15 jewel movement. He repaired the movement and replaced the main spring plus he added 2 new crystals and he serviced the movement. This is a one of a kind watch and has a nicely made movement. This watch would make a great display in a covered dome display! Any photo props used in the photos are not for sale.
