Description: A late 19th century Victorian era Staffordshire reproduction of the Walton pearlware figure titled "Tenderness". The piece is decorated "in the round" with numerous individually molded and enamel painted figures of a man, woman, lamb, bocage tree, floral garland, and a scrolled platform. It is marked Walton on the back but this figure, while still antique, was made in the late 1800s rather than in the early 1800s when the Walton pottery first made this much admired pearlware figure. A very sweet piece in excellent antique condition. There is noticeable crazing and minimal paint loss to the back (see photo), but no chips, cracks or repairs identified. Approximate dimensions are 6 3/4" tall x 5 3/4" wide x 3 3/8" deep.
