Description: We bought this plate in an antique shop many years ago because of the vivid colors. It is about 10.5 inches in diameter, over 1.5 inches tall, and weighs 1 pound 11 ounces. The back has the letter "C" in cobalt , the number 5304A in gold, and 2 small indents, with the edges outlined in gold. The antique shop owner said this mark was in Kovel's "Dictionary of Marks of Pottery and Porcelain", page 23, and showed the manufacturer as Caughley, a company established in 1750 in Great Britain.
