Description: A charming old Staffordshire figurine in great condition! Like most old Staffordshire the subject represents everyday country life. Here we have a boy in a tree with a mother bird protecting her nest. It looks like one baby has fallen out and he is thinking of returning it. Most impressive is the beautiful and colorful confetti accents which is in fine shape for the age. I like the pink moma bird as well. There are no marks on the bottom and just a very small release hole. To me that indicates it was made in the 2nd half of the 1800's.
