Description: Very nice antique redware pottery multi-colored turks head food mold in great all original patina & condition. This is a really nice example, it is hand formed, not made on a mold. The green & orange glaze colors are quite bold and the mold is further enhanced with dark brown sponge decoration around the exterior of the mold. The condition is quite good with only one minor flake on the rim. This was probably made in the "Valley of Virginia" in the early 1800's. The mold is 7" in diameter x 2 3/4" high including the inner cone. This is a very nice example and worthy of your great redware collection. You will not be disappointed with this mold.
